Ps- Someone also mention the cut in this video is a "clone" of the WfM OP, I actually didn't notice that but the shots, layout, and pacing etc. ![]() It's acceptable to have personal preferences, but it's not fair to claim that one is inherently "better" than the other based solely on personal preference. They have distinct styles and approaches that make them unique. ![]() It's worth noting that many top artists from both Asian and Western backgrounds draw inspiration from each other. On the other hand, Japanese studios and many Chinese artists tend to focus on established tropes, camera angles, and character archetypes that they know effectively convey their own stories, often with tighter budgets compared to their overseas counterparts. They invest in research and development for new technologies that enhance focus shifts, lighting, transparency, hair movement, to name a few. Studios in the West often rely on technology and efficient production methods to tell stories and streamline the process. I believe it's important to avoid the "us vs them" mentality when comparing Asian Anime and Western Cartoons, as it doesn't promote a healthy appreciation for the artistry of animators and artists worldwide.
